Women in Biblical Literature (4 week series) (Virtual)

6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Event Details

Was Eve the “ultimate temptress”? Did Bathsheba cause David’s downfall? Was Mary Magdalene a “barely repentant sinner”? This class explores the cultural stereotypes of femininity rooted in Biblical literature. Utilizing the tools of modern critical scholarship, participants will discover what the Bible really says about the mothers, daughters, wives, sisters, peasants, prophets, and queens in Scripture, their vital roles in salvation history, and the feminine principle as an aspect of the Divine. Presented by Christine Marchetti.

You are encouraged to attend all four sessions but each session is open to new participants.
