The question of what truly happens to our body at the exact moment of death has puzzled many for centuries. Yet, it has largely gone unanswered. This presentation takes a biological look at the many changes that occur in bodies and minds prior to, and at the moment of, death. The process is divided into three phases: preparation, the actual death, and lastly, the transition to a new form. Understanding these three steps can help friends and loved ones to be a part of the natural process and find peace and healing.

As a career registered nurse, Sydney has witnessed the dying process through her work. The act of dying and manner of death may differ from person to person; however, the actual transition from physical form to natural form of energy is the same for everyone. The study of life after death (or the transition) is called Thanatology and it is a well-documented field of study. Sydney’s mission is to promote a greater understanding and demystification of death, offer the necessary information people need to comprehend death, and provide proof that life does not end with death.
