Despite myths you may have heard, Medicare does cover aides to help beneficiaries with personal care in their homes. For individuals who need assistance leaving home, and leaving home takes a taxing effort, Medicare will cover aides if the individual also needs the skilled services of a nurse or therapist.

The Center for Medicare Advocacy is available to assist people having difficulties obtaining Medicare coverage for home health care – or other necessary care. We help Connecticut residents at no charge, in large part due to funding provided to us by the State Department on Aging and Disability Services.
