Your Power Your Voice: Advocating for Health Equity in Cancer (Virtual)

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Event Details

American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network unites and empowers cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and their loved ones, giving them the tools and training they need to be heard. American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network’s public policy priorities are focused on the actions that elected leaders at all levels of government can take to accelerate the ability to save lives and win the fight against cancer.

We are fighting to achieve health equity, the just and fair opportunity for everyone to prevent, find, treat and survive cancer – regardless of how much money they make, the color of their skin, their sexual orientation, their gender identity, their disability status, or where they live. Health equity means that everyone has a fair and just opportunity to be as healthy as possible which requires removing obstacles to health such as poverty, discrimination, and their consequences. This event will focus on health equity and its impact on access to care in the cancer space. Join us to learn more about the role you can play in helping us achieve this goal.
