DEEP- Sand (Virtual)

Event Details

CT Department of Energy & Environmental Protection will read a story about SAND and talk about how sand is made. To participate in this hands-on activity, you will need the following supplies:

2 rocks should be rinsed, clear of dirt, and able to fit into the palm of your hand.
Coffee can with lid and water OR
Snack-size plastic container with lid and water (If needed, You can pick up a snack-sized plastic container at the library- please call first- this is while supplies last).
Soil from your yard and soil from another location, collecting about 1/4 cup of each.
