The CT DEEP State Parks and Public Outreach and Education Division is utilizing storywalks at many of its State Park and State Forest locations as well as at the Education Centers and Museums across the state this summer to tell a story.  With the summer reading theme of “Read Beyond the Beaten Path” there is no better place to read a story than at a CT State Park or Forest.   This year, CT DEEP State Parks has partnered with the CT State Library and a number of libraries across the state, including the Bloomfield Public Library, to encourage families to get outside, find that unique spot and read together.

On August 18, 2022 at 10:30 am, CT DEEP’s No Child Left Inside Program  https://portal.ct.gov/ncli will be bringing a Family Camping Program to the Bloomfield Public Library, McMahon Wintonbury location.  Join us for a program out in the field at the library to learn about ALL THINGS CAMPING.  Join CT DEEP State Parks staff and friends to learn about camping at one of our CT State Park or Forests, what to bring; how to set-up a campsite and tent, play games and read stories together.   We promise to bring the fun and the Smore’s!
