Event Details

Everyone, both young and old, needs an estate plan. Your life circumstances can change in an instant! If they do, are you prepared? Do you want to be on life support? Who will pay your bills if you can’t? And if you pass away, how will your estate be divided amongst your heirs? If you don’t have a plan in place, the State of Connecticut will make some of these decisions for you. Would you want that to happen? In this program, you’ll learn about important estate planning documents like Powers of Attorney and Healthcare Directives that you can create to make sure your wishes are met and your family knows how to care for you when you can’t care for yourself.

This program may be recorded and shared with the library's social media channels and community partners. Be aware if you turn on your video and/or speak during the program, you may be recorded. Your Zoom name may also be recorded.
