Event Details

Celebrate Earth Month with us! Former executive director of the Knox Foundation, Ron Pitz, brings us an in-person interactive workshop on invasive species in our Connecticut landscapes. Recommended dress: long pants and gloves. Bring water, insect repellant, and any cutting and digging tools you have along with your fun spirit to join your fellow residents in tackling some of these plants at Hawk Hill (22 Duncaster Rd), a Wintonbury Land Trust site. You will walk away feeling confident in knowing how to identify and remove some of these harmful plants taking over our backyards and natural spaces while getting social and physical exercise.

This program is provided in partnership with Vic Herson and the Wintonbury Land Trust. Please register to ensure the event will not be canceled. You will be notified by email in the event of cancellation due to rain or low turnout.
