CT Humanities Book Voyagers programs are designed to promote the joy of reading and encourage families to create literature-rich home environments.

BPL is sponsoring this 4-week Book Voyagers series, TURNING OBSTACLES INTO OPPORTUNITY, for readers in grades 3-4 AND their parents/guardians. They say that when life gets tough, the tough get going. This four-book series invites conversations about overcoming whatever life throws our way with cleverness and patience — whether it’s a man trying to move a mountain, a donkey struggling to return to normal, a rooster trying to liven things up on the farm, or a young girl trying to help her mother.

Dinner will be provided for all, and each student will go home with the featured book of the week. Metacomet School students should register through their school. Other interested families should register on the BPL Events Calendar. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

All programs will take place at Metacomet School (185 School Street, Bloomfield).
