Event Details

"Read, Renew, Repeat" is the 2024 Summer Reading Theme. Let's kickoff an eco-friendly Crafternoon series for Adults and Teens (entering grades 7-12) at the BPL Atrium conference room!

At today's program, we will upcycle t-shirts. Bring your own shirt(s), if possible. We will have extra t-shirts on hand as well. This is a no-sew event and the only tool we will be using are scissors. For preparation purposes, let us know in the question field below which project you are interested in. You can also decide at the program.

Option 1: Turn your t-shirt into a handy tote bag, ready to fill with all your summer reading materials. What to bring: a t-shirt in which you like the graphic. The larger the shirt, the larger your bag.

Option 2: Redesign your t-shirt into a scarf, ready to adorn your outfit of choice. What to bring: one or more t-shirts in which you like the color. Aim for a larger shirt.

Additional sessions: July 2 - Paper Dahlia Wreath, July 16 - Tile Magnets

All Summer Reading events are generously funded by the Friends of the Bloomfield Public Library. Limited space available. If special accommodations are required, please contact the library at least one week prior to the event.
